Text

A. There is hereby created a political subdivision of the state known as the "Louisiana Local Government Environmental Facilities and Community Development Authority" composed of one or more participating political subdivisions. B. The authority hereby created shall be governed by a board of directors, the membership of which shall be appointed as follows:

(1)The governing authority of each political subdivision that desires to become a member of the authority shall adopt a resolution indicating its intention to do so. Each such political subdivision shall thereupon become a participating political subdivision.
(2)The mayor of each municipality which is a participating political subdivision shall appoint one director to the board of directors of the authority, subject to approval by the
