§4064.1. Creation; purpose The Environmental Services Commission of St. Tammany Parish, hereinafter in this Subpart referred to as "the commission", is hereby created as a political subdivision of the state, with power to sue and to be sued in its corporate name. The commission shall be responsible for the protection of public health and the environment through the control, monitoring, and inspection of public and private sewerage and water systems and the provision and/or supervision of environmental services, all in the unincorporated portion of the parish of St. Tammany, and through enforcement of all ordinances and state and local regulations relative to such systems and services, all as further provided in this Subpart.
