§2341. Purpose It is the intent of the legislature in the exercise of the police power of the state to create a board to promote the public peace, by establishing training programs for chiefs of police to provide management courses and skills to enhance the safety of the citizens of Louisiana and the enforcement of state laws. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to the superintendent of the Louisiana State Police, sheriffs, and constables. Acts 2003, No. 388, §1, eff. June 18, 2003; Acts 2011, No. 161, §1.
