§531. Garage or oil businesses, petition for location; consent of property owners Any person desiring to conduct a garage or oil business in this state, prior to the issuance to him of any permit by either state, town, parish, or municipal authorities, shall, when such business is to be located in any incorporated city, town, or village, address a petition to the city council or board of aldermen, or when it is to be located without such limits, to the police jury of the parish in which it is to be located, stating the name of the owner, its exact location, and must be accompanied with the written assent of a majority of the property owners within three hundred feet, to be measured along the street or road fronts, of the proposed location.
