Text

A.The governing authority of the city of Shreveport shall have the power to enact ordinances to control and abate odor nuisances. Such ordinances shall provide that no person shall cause or allow the emission of odorous air contaminants from any single source that result in detectable odors.
B.The provisions of this Section shall be applicable only to control and abatement of emission of odorous air contaminants by a rendering plant located within the corporate limits of the municipality. For purposes of this Section, "rendering plant" shall mean an establishment primarily engaged in converting waste animal tissue into stable, value-added materials.
