§1771. Prohibition of importation of plants from area prohibiting importation from Louisiana In order to provide a system of reciprocal quarantines or embargoes between this state and other states, territories, and foreign countries, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to ship or transport into this state, or to sell, deal in, or handle in any manner within this state, any agricultural or horticultural plant or plant product from any state, territory, or foreign country which prohibits the shipment from this State of any such agricultural or horticultural plant or plant product by reason of quarantine or embargo of any kind or nature.
