§901. Louisiana National Register Review Committee; creation; functions; purposes; duties
The Louisiana National Register Review Committee, which shall be referred to as the committee for the purposes of this Chapter, is hereby created and established in the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism as an agency of the state. The committee is established pursuant to requirements of the U.S. Heritage Conservation Recreation Service in implementing the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (Public Law 89-665, as amended) 1 that each state establish such a state review committee.
