§214.5. Livingston Parish Library Board of Control; additional members; appointment; terms of office
A.Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the governing
authority of the parish of Livingston shall appoint nine citizens to serve as the members of
the Livingston Parish Library Board of Control. The president of the parish governing
authority shall be an ex officio member of the board. However, the president may designate
another member of the parish governing authority to serve in his stead on the library board
of control.
B.The additional members appointed pursuant to Subsection A of this Section shall
serve initial terms as determined by the parish governing authority not to exceed five years.
The successors of any such members shall serve five-year terms.
