A.
(1)The Board of Trustees for State Colleges and Universities, the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, and the Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College are authorized to require that each higher educational institution over which they exercise supervision and management, including, where appropriate, each campus, branch, or other separate division thereof, participate in a program of providing technical and scholarly assistance to the legislature, its standing and statutory committees, and its legislative service agencies.
