§550.22. Examination by commissioner
A.If the commissioner determines it to be prudent, but not less frequently than once
every five years, the commissioner shall cause an examination of each captive insurance
company under the provisions of Chapter 8 of this Title, R.S. 22:1981 et seq. The company
or companies examined pursuant to R.S. 22:1981 et seq. shall pay the expenses and charges
of the examination to the commissioner. The Louisiana Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 et
seq., and confidentiality provisions in this Title apply to all documents, materials,
information, privileged documents, examination reports, preliminary examination reports or
results, working papers, recorded information and copies thereof, or other information that
is produced by, obtained by, or disclosed to the comm
