§2086. Board of directors A. The board of directors of the association shall consist of one consumer representative appointed by the commissioner subject to Senate confirmation, who shall be a resident of the state of Louisiana, and ten member insurers serving terms as established in the plan of operation. The consumer representative shall not be an officer, director, or employee of an insurance company or engaged in the business of insurance or a health maintenance organization. The insurer members of the board shall be selected by member insurers subject to the approval of the commissioner from the following groups or their successors:

(1)One representative of a member insurer which is a domestic commercial insurance company and a member of the Louisiana Insurers' Conference.
