§ 22:1527 — Application of insurance laws

Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Part, none of the other provisions of this Title shall apply to collision damage waivers. None of the provisions of this Part shall apply to the issuance of collision insurance underwritten by an insurer authorized to transact property and casualty business in this state. No lessor to whom this Part applies shall be compelled to join or contribute financially to any plan, pool, association or guaranty or insolvency fund in this state on account of his activities as a lessor. NOTE: Former R.S. 22:1527 redesignated as R.S. 22:717 by Acts 2008, No. 415, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 2009.
