§5021. Louisiana high school graduation A.
(1)Except as otherwise provided by Subsection B of this Section, to be eligible
for an award pursuant to this Chapter, a student shall be certified as provided in this Chapter
to have graduated from a public high school or a nonpublic high school which has been
approved by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
(2)(a) For a student graduating from a Louisiana nonpublic high school to be eligible
for an award under this Chapter, beginning with applicants who graduate from a nonpublic
high school during the 1999-2000 school year, the nonpublic high school from which the
student graduates shall be approved by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary
Education pursuant to R.S. 17:11 and, in addition, shall meet the standards require
