Text

Parish school boards may, by a majority vote, prohibit any organization defined in R.S. 17:2091 in the high schools of the parish. The principals of the schools in which such organizations have been prohibited shall suspend, or expel from the school under their control any person who:

(1)is or remains a member of, or joins or promises to join, or pledges himself to become a member of any organization which has been prohibited, or
(2)solicits or encourages any other person to join or promise to join, or to pledge himself to become a member of any such organization. All action taken pursuant to this Section by any parish school board or any high school principal shall be subject to the supervision and control of the state board of education.
