§1606. Medical scholarship; recipient to serve as physician at institution under jurisdiction of department of corrections
Upon the request of the department of corrections, the board of supervisors of the Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College shall award annually a four year scholarship to the medical school of the Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. The recipient of any such scholarship may attend the medical school without the necessity of paying tuition, matriculation, registration, laboratory, athletic, medical or other special fees, and may receive a stipend from the board of supervisors.
