Text

No person shall enter without permission of the superintendent of the Louisiana State Penitentiary upon any of the farms or properties which may be designated by the superintendent as state prisons. Whoever violates this Section shall be fined not more than fifty dollars, or imprisoned for not more than thirty days, or both. This Section shall not prohibit sheriffs, their deputies, and other officers of the law from entering the farms or properties in the performance of their official duties. No person shall be denied admittance to the farms or properties, at reasonable times and under the conditions fixed by the superintendent to insure the safety and proper discipline of inmates and prisoners for the transaction of legitimate business thereon.
