§622.1. Sexual assault collection kits; prohibited use in criminal investigation of victim Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, DNA obtained by a criminal justice agency from a sexual assault collection kit as defined in R.S. 15:622 shall not be compared with other DNA records as defined in R.S. 15:603 for the purpose of investigating the victim of the sexually oriented criminal offense who submitted the DNA if that victim is charged with or suspected of committing any criminal offense.
