Text

A.Police juries may provide the sheriffs and deputy sheriffs of their respective parishes with radio patrol cars and other equipment, arms, and ammunition in aid of law enforcement, and may maintain the same.
B.The equipment, arms, and ammunition shall be entrusted to the sheriff. At the expiration of his term of office, he shall account to the president of the police jury for such parish property as was received by him from the police jury. Redesignated from R.S. 33:1437 pursuant to Acts 2011, No. 248, §3.
