Text

A. There are hereby established, effective January 1, 1997, two justice of the peace courts in Morehouse Parish. The justice of the peace and constable districts shall encompass the following wards:

(1)District A shall be composed of Wards 1, 2, 7, and 9.
(2)District B shall be composed of Wards 5, 6, 8, and 10. B. The courts shall have territorial jurisdiction throughout the respective districts and shall have subject matter jurisdiction as provided by law. The justice of the peace courts which exist in Morehouse Parish on June 30, 1991, shall be abolished at midnight on December 31, 1996. C.
