Text
A.Except as otherwise provided by law and subject to Code of Civil Procedure Article 5181 et seq., in addition to any other fees or costs provided by law, the clerk of the Opelousas City Court shall collect from each person filing any type of civil suit or proceeding, except in the small claims division, a nonrefundable fee in an amount determined by the judge, but not to exceed thirty dollars.
B.The clerk shall place all sums collected or received pursuant to this Section in the general fund of the court, special cost account, to be used to supplement the operational expenses of the court. The expenditure of funds shall be at the sole discretion of the judge of the court. All funds shall be subject to and included in the court's annual audit. A copy of the audit shall be filed with the
