§ 11:3774 — Physical examination required for disability benefits

A member claiming pension benefits, or a member already receiving such benefits because of such disability as renders him unfit for service in the department shall subject himself to physical examination by a Medical Examiner designated by the Board of Trustees of this organization and if the findings of said examiner be objectionable to the member, the member may require a further physical examination to be held jointly by the Medical Examiner of the Board, a Medical Examiner to be chosen by the member and a third Medical Examiner to be selected by the Examiner representing the Board and the member and the concurrence of either two of said examiners reduced to writing and signed by them shall be considered as final by the Board of Trustees and by the member affected.
