A.

(1)Each member shall receive credit for service rendered as an employee of the City prior to the effective date for which he shall have received salary.
(2)Each member shall receive credit for service rendered on or after the effective date for which he shall have received salary and for which he shall have made contributions. B. The board shall determine by rule the amount of service in any year that is equivalent to a year of service. In no case shall less than twelve days of service, nor less than nine months of service constitute a year of service. Proportionate credit shall be granted for service of less than nine months of service during a year.
