Text

A. The membership of this Retirement System shall be composed as follows:

(1)All persons who shall become employees in the City Service after August 1, 1948, except those specifically excluded or as to whom election is provided in this Part, shall become members of the Retirement System as a condition of their employment.
(2)Every municipal employee who shall have accepted the provisions of Act 33 of 1944 and who is included under those provisions on the first day of August, nineteen hundred and forty-eight, shall become a member as of that date unless on or before the first day of November nineteen hundred and forty-eight, he shall file with the Board of Trustees, on a form prescribed by the Board for such purpose a notice of his election not to participate in the retirement fund and a
