§ 11:149 — Reemployment of retirees

A.Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any person who retires from employment with a department of state government as defined in Title 36 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, shall, upon reemployment by the same department of state government, be governed, with respect to retirement, by the laws governing the retirement system from which he retired.
B.Any person who retires under any early retirement incentive plan of the state of Louisiana for state employees shall not be reemployed by any department of state government for two years after the effective date of their retirement. The provisions of this Subsection shall not apply to seasonal fire fighting personnel employed by the office of forestry in the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and election-
