In case any person other than the owner of said bonds shall sign such petition, representing himself as the agent, trustee or proxy of said owner, his authority for signing the same shall be in writing or printed and executed by the owner of said bonds, and be duly acknowledged before some notary public, and shall be attested by the signature and official seal of such notary.
