§ 66-185 — Same; penalty for noncompliance with order

Kansas·Ch. 66 PUBLIC UTILITIES·Art. 1 POWERS OF STATE CORPORATION COMMISSION
It shall be the duty of every corporation or person to whom an order made by the corporation commission under either K.S.A. 66-183 or 66-184 shall be directed, to comply with such order in accordance with its terms, and for any neglect to comply therewith any such corporation or person shall be liable to a penalty of one hundred dollars, and to a like penalty for every ten days during which said neglect shall continue and may be recovered in a civil action brought in the name of the state and shall be paid to the state treasurer as provided in K.S.A. 20-2801, and any amendments thereto. The action may be prosecuted by the attorney general in any county having jurisdiction, or by the county attorney of the county in which the wire or wires crossing the railroad track shall be located.
