(a)The commission shall allow affected utilities to recover reasonable costs incurred or committed to be incurred as a result of compliance with the renewable energy resource requirements required in K.S.A. 66-1258, prior to its repeal. All rules and regulations and orders of the state corporation commission that relate to allowing a utility to recover costs incurred to meet such requirement, and that are in effect on June 30, 2015, shall continue to be effective. The commission shall allow affected utilities to recover reasonable costs incurred as a result of meeting the voluntary 20% goal in K.S.A. 66-1256, and amendments thereto.
(b)Nothing in this act shall be construed to impair any existing contracts, leases or agreements.
