§ 66-117e — Exemption from filing rates and schedules, when
(a)The state corporation commission shall have the authority to exempt any public utility or common carrier over which the commission has jurisdiction from the requirements of publishing and filing with the commission copies of schedules of rates, joint rates, tolls, charges, classifications and divisions of rates for jurisdictional services affecting Kansas customers and charged for any such service that is not subject to price regulation. After a public utility or common carrier service has been exempted from such requirements, the commission may require such public utility or common carrier to publish and file with the commission tariffs for such service when necessary to protect consumers from fraudulent business practices or practices that are inconsistent with the public interest, c
