Text
(a)Every person, firm, partnership, association or corporation, which makes, compiles or completes and sells abstracts of title to real estate in the state of Kansas shall first secure and hold a valid license issued in accordance with the provisions of this act. The annual fee for each abstracter's license shall be fixed by the abstracters' board of examiners by rules and regulations in an amount not to exceed $75 for each year or part of a year. The board may establish rules and regulations for the proration of license fees for licenses to be effective for a period of time less than one year.
(b)The board shall determine annually the amount necessary to carry out and enforce the provisions of this act for the next ensuing year and shall fix the license fee for such year at the sum deem
