§ 47-422 — Effect of brand registering; recordation, fee; evidence; use by another prohibited

Kansas·Ch. 47 LIVESTOCK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS·Art. 4 MARKS AND BRANDS
Any brand registered with the animal health commissioner of the Kansas department of agriculture in compliance with the requirements of article 4 of chapter 47 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto, shall be the property of the person causing such record to be made. Such brand shall be subject to sale, assignment, transfer, devise and descent as other personal property. Instruments of writing evidencing the sale, assignment or transfer of such brand shall be recorded by the animal health commissioner. The fee for recording such instruments of writing shall be an amount not to exceed $30. Such instruments shall have the same force and effect as recorded instruments affecting real estate.
