Text
Upon request of the animal health commissioner, the secretary of health and environment shall make staff engineers available to assist:
(1)An operator of any feedlot in the state of Kansas; and (2) any person who has applied for a license to operate a feedlot in the state of Kansas, in the development of plans and in the design for the construction of facilities for a feedlot in order to control pollution of streams and lakes. Nothing in this act shall be construed as limiting the authority of the secretary of health and environment in matters of stream and lake pollution as provided for in K.S.A. 65-161 through 65-171h, and amendments thereto.
