Text
(a)Each claim shall be considered by the joint committee as soon as practicable after it is filed. If the joint committee deems a hearing to be necessary or advisable on any claim or if the claimant requests the same, it shall provide for the holding of a hearing and shall give the claimant and the state agency involved, if any, at least fifteen days notice by certified mail of the time and place thereof.
(b)The joint committee shall not be bound by the strict rules of evidence, except when specifically required by its rules but shall admit all testimony having reasonable probative value, and shall conduct all hearings in a fair and impartial manner, giving full opportunity for presentation of evidence and argument.
