Text

(a)Except as provided in subsection (e), every person employed by the legislative branch of the state of Kansas on and after January 1, 1984, shall receive a monthly retirement benefit commencing on the first day of the month after the person has (1) attained age 65;
(2)been employed by the legislative branch of the state of Kansas for 50 or more days in 10 or more calendar years; and (3) made application for such monthly retirement benefit to the Kansas public employees retirement system in the form and manner required by the retirement system. Such monthly retirement benefit shall be equal to the amount determined by multiplying $15 by the total number of years in which such person was employed by the legislative branch of the state of Kansas for 50 or more days.
