(a)The legislative coordinating council shall prepare and file its annual budget request in three parts; one for the office of revisor of statutes, one for the legislative research department and one for other expenses. The revisor of statutes and the director of legislative research shall separately prepare the annual budget requests applicable to their respective office and department, and transmit the same to the legislative coordinating council. Such council shall make any changes it desires in such budget requests and include the same, with any changes, in its annual budget request. Appropriations to the legislative coordinating council for the office of revisor of statutes and for the legislative research department shall be made as separate items of appropriation.
