Text
(a)Legislative studies shall be initiated in one of the ways specified in this section.
(b)The inherent power of the house of representatives or the senate to cause a legislative study to be made without the approval of the other house is recognized. Further, the inherent power of the two houses of the legislature to cause a legislative study to be made without the limitations prescribed in this act is also recognized.
(c)Concurrent resolutions of the legislature may direct the legislative coordinating council to provide for legislative studies to be made by special committees or standing committees. Any such resolution shall specify the subject to be studied and the time that report is to be made thereon, but shall not specify the composition of the special committee nor other incident
