§ 23-3126 — Income withholding; unemployment insurance benefits

(a)(1) The secretary of the department for children and families may collect, pursuant to the income withholding act, K.S.A. 23-3101 et seq., and amendments thereto, support owed in a title IV-D case from unemployment insurance benefits payable to the obligor. Such collections may be remitted directly to the secretary. The secretary, and any other agency affected, shall use electronic processes to the greatest extent feasible.
(2)All provisions of the income withholding act shall apply to the withholding of support from unemployment insurance benefits from the state employment security agency, which shall be considered a payor for the purposes of the income withholding act, except that any cost recovery fee as a result of such withholding shall be paid by the department for children and
