§ 22-4527 — Abolition of board of supervisors of panels to aid indigent defendants; transfer of officers and employees, rules and regulations, directives and standards, and records and property to new board; existing defense services systems continued subject to change

Kansas·Ch. 22 CRIMINAL PROCEDURE·Art. 45 AID TO INDIGENT DEFENDANTS
(a)The board of supervisors of panels to aid indigent defendants created by K.S.A. 22-4514 is hereby abolished.
(b)On the effective date of this act, all officers and employees who were engaged immediately preceding the effective date of this act in the performance of powers, duties and functions of the board of supervisors of panels to aid indigent defendants or public defenders and who, in the opinion of the state board of indigents' defense services, are necessary to perform the powers, duties and functions of the state board of indigents' defense services under this act, may become officers and employees of the state board of indigents' defense services. Any such officer or employee shall retain all retirement benefits and all rights which had accrued to or vested in such officer or
