(a)Upon taking office, the treasurer for an extension district shall give bond in an amount fixed and approved by the governing body of the extension district for the safekeeping and due disbursement of all funds of the extension district in the custody of the treasurer.
(b)All moneys received by the treasurer for an extension district shall be deposited by the treasurer in a bank designated by the governing body of the extension district and authorized to receive public deposits. The treasurer shall make all payments for the extension district on the warrant of the secretary of the governing body of the extension district or by a combination warrant check signed by the chairperson of the governing body.
