Text
Notwithstanding the provisions of K.S.A. 2-2475, before designating any pesticide management area, the secretary shall hold a public hearing at which any interested party may appear and be heard in person or by attorney. Notice of the hearing shall be given by a publication in the Kansas register and by three publications in a newspaper or newspapers of general circulation within the area in question within the 30-day period prior to the date set for the hearing. The notice shall state the proposed boundaries of the pesticide management area and a summary of the proposed pesticide management plan to be applied within the proposed pesticide management area.
