§ 2-1212 — Anhydrous ammonia; regulations

Kansas·Ch. 2 AGRICULTURE·Art. 12 FERTILIZERS

The board is authorized and directed to make and promulgate regulations (a) for the safe handling, storage and transportation of anhydrous ammonia;

(b)for establishment of minimum general safety standards covering the design, construction, location, installation and operation of equipment for the storage, handling and transportation of such product by tank truck, tank trailer, or otherwise, and for the utilization of anhydrous ammonia; and
(c)to modify and amend such regulations to the end that said anhydrous ammonia shall be handled, stored and transported with safety. Said regulations shall be such as are reasonably necessary for the safety of the public and persons using such material.
