Text
All checks or drafts of the treasurer of any county upon the bank holding the public money not issued as a part of a warrant check as provided by K.S.A. 10-802, as amended shall show upon their face for what purpose they were drawn, and in counties having a population of less than forty thousand (40,000) such checks or drafts or checks or drafts not issued pursuant to a warrant as provided by K.S.A. 10-802, as amended shall be countersigned by the county clerk; and such depository shall not pay the check or draft of said treasurer unless so countersigned.
