§ 19-4421 — Budget of expenditures; approval; tax levy, use of proceeds
(a)Except as provided in subsection (b), on or before the first Monday in July of each year the agency shall prepare and submit to the board of county commissioners of the county a budget of expenditures for the operation of such agency and the department for the next budget year, itemizing the expenses and amounts and the purpose. The board of county commissioners of the county shall thereupon consider said budget and approve the same or may by a unanimous vote of its members, upon the basis of a written statement giving reasons therefor, require the modification or omission of any item from such proposed budget and approve the same as modified.
