Text
The board of county commissioners of any county of the state is hereby authorized and empowered to organize one or more fire districts in any portion of the county not within an incorporated city, and the entire county or the major portion thereof may be organized as one fire district and any city of the second and third classes may be included within such district as hereafter provided. No fire district or part of a fire district may be included within a fire district under this act, except as provided in K.S.A. 19-3611, and amendments thereto. Each such fire district shall be named and numbered by the said board in the order of their organization as "Fire District No. _____ (such number as shall be assigned), County of _____ (name of county), Kansas".
