§ 19-2786h — Tax levies for additional police protection; contracts with sheriff

Kansas·Ch. 19 COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS·Art. 27 PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT AND SERVICE DISTRICTS
The governing body of any improvement district may annually levy a tax, which shall be in addition to all other levies or taxes authorized by law, in an amount not to exceed three mills, to be used for additional police protection in the district as hereinafter set out. No such tax levy shall be authorized without first having been submitted to and been approved by a majority of the electors of the district voting at an election called and held thereon. Such election shall be called and held in the manner prescribed for the calling and holding of bond elections under the provisions of K.S.A. 10-120.
