Text
In any county having a population of at least seventy-five thousand (75,000) but not more than one hundred ten thousand (110,000) which has constructed or which hereafter constructs a courthouse or jail, or both, under the provisions of K.S.A. 19-1569*, and amendments thereto, the board of county commissioners is hereby authorized to make an annual tax levy of not to exceed one mill upon all the taxable tangible property of the county for the purpose of enlarging or remodeling, or both, of the courthouse or jail, or both, of said county and to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bonds issued under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendments thereto, by cities located in the county.
