Text
The county surveyor or his deputy is authorized to administer all oaths or affirmations necessary to the legal establishment of roads and other surveys, and to take the evidence of any person who may be produced to prove any point material to such survey, and is authorized to summon before him at any convenient place in his county any person or persons in his county, whom he has good reason to believe could furnish material evidence as to the true location of any corners or boundaries involved in any survey then being made by such surveyor, and to administer the proper oath or affirmation to all such witnesses, and take their testimony in writing.
