(a)The board of county commissioners of any county may provide, by adoption of a resolution, for a code inspection and enforcement fund to finance the operations, equipment and capital needs for authorized functions of such department, including, but not limited to, building, construction, land, water and gas application, inspection, testing and permitting. Such expenses may be supported with charges assessed to building users based on a schedule of fees to be approved and transferred to such fund from any source that may be lawfully utilized for such purposes, including the county general fund.
(b)Expenditures from the fund shall be subject to the budget requirements of K.S.A. 79-2925 through 79-2937, and amendments thereto.
