§ 13-1229 — Same; use and investment of sinking funds; record and report

Kansas·Ch. 13 CITIES OF THE FIRST CLASS·Art. 12 PUBLIC UTILITIES
It shall be the duty of the board of public utilities to use the sinking funds herein provided for in the purchase and cancellation from time to time of bonds issued for the purpose of purchasing, improving or extending such waterworks and/or electric-light plants, or to place such bonds in the sinking fund of the water department or the electric-light department at the option of the board of public utilities. If the board shall be unable to purchase any such bonds, then it shall be its duty to invest the moneys of said sinking funds in investments authorized by K.S.A. 12-1675, and amendments thereto, in the manner prescribed therein or in bonds of the state of Kansas, or general improvement bonds of cities of the first and second class, or bonds of any county within the state wherein a ci
