Text
In order to provide for the payment of the costs of flood control improvements and the damages occasioned by reason thereof, the governing body of the city may issue internal improvement bonds of the city as provided by law. Such internal improvement bonds may be general obligation bonds of the city if the city is proceeding under K.S.A. 12-635 to 12-646a, inclusive, and amendments thereto. Such bonds shall not be issued in an amount in excess of the contract price of the work improvement, plus the total amount of damage allowed for injury to property and the cost of the right-of-way as determined by article 2 of chapter 26 of Kansas Statutes Annotated or K.S.A. 12-639 to 12-643, inclusive, and amendments thereto, except that any installment coupons shall include the interest of such insta
