Text
The governing body of any such city shall have power and authority to construct and maintain sewers and drains, with the appurtenances thereof, from the corporate limits of the said city to a connection with any creek, ravine, or river within five miles thereof, and to build, extend, operate and maintain disposal works for the purification of sewage at any point along or near the line of such sewers or drains; and for this purpose the right of eminent domain is hereby granted to such cities.
